Every Friday, I have the pleasure of sharing a snippet or two from my reading adventures—whether it’s from a book I’m currently diving into, a future pick waiting on my shelf, or a delightful surprise from my library. I’ll link this post to The Friday 56 meme, hosted by My Head Full of Books.
This week, I'm spotlighting a passage from Cemetery Jones and the Dancing Guns by William R. Cox (1901-1988). It's the third entry in the five-part Cemetery Jones series, which was published in 1987 by Fawcett Golden Medal Books. Unfortunately, the series came to an end following the author's passing in 1988. I stumbled upon this book earlier this year. If you're interested, the entire series is available on *Kindle.
Sam was undressed in a jiffy, dried and clothed in dry garments. He heard the mountain man snoring as he crept from the hotel in his slicker and ran down to El Sol. As he knew she would be, Renee was waiting for him.
