The Friday 56: 'The Night Riders' by Todhunter Ballard

Today, I'm sharing a snippet from The Night Riders by Todhunter Ballard, also known as Willis Todhunter Ballard (1903-1980). This book was first published in 1961 by Doubleday. My copy is from 1963, a Pocket Book edition, which I came across at an antique flea market for only 50 cents.
